A number of players from the North American region have approached us in hopes of forming a self-funded Battalion 1944 league. After some initial planning, feedback and working together with the North American community directly, we are happy to announce the Blitzkrieg North American Community League!
It’s another first for us here at The Plays as we announce that registration is now open for the first league in Battalion 1944. Teams can enter the Blitzkrieg North American Community League if each player on their roster has paid the $5 player entry fee. All funds received as a result of teams registering for this tournament will be reinvested into the league in its entirety.
The Blitzkrieg NACL will have set Match Days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) which will allow the North American Blitzkrieg Battle events to continue every Sunday.
Dates: 9th April – 8th June
Player Ticket: $5 per player (PayPal payments to email@example.com)
16 Teams: $250 (175/50/25)
32 Teams: $500 (300/150/50)
64 Teams: $1,250 (600/350/200/50)
IMPORTANT: Any funds received outside of the prizepool amount will be put directly back into the event for things such as commentators, producers, etc.
This tournament will have a best-of-one group stage which will see teams qualify into the double-elimination playoff bracket. In order to get the best level of competition, the tournament schedule will display which maps are to be played and on which week. The playoff bracket will also be a best-of-one format, with the grand finals being a best-of-five and the upper-bracket winners receiving a one-map advantage.
